In Walking Distance

The DeAnza Inn is located near many conveniences within walking distance, including two restaurants adjacent to us on either side. Monterey Joe's Ristorante offers fine California and Italian cuisine, featuring their famous brick-oven pizza.

On the other side of us is Denny's Reataurant, open 24 hours/day, seven days/week. Denny's is a can't-miss place for a hot breakfast or a late-night gathering of friends.

A half-block further will find you at Caruso's Corner, a traditional bistro with red-checkered table cloths that transport you back to Little Italy. Not to mention the best American pizza in town. Walk another two blocks to enjoy the beautiful Chef Lee's Mandarin House, considered by locals to be the Peninsula's finest Chinese restaurant.

Five blocks west is the Monterey Recreational Path. This beautiful trail is perfect for walking, bicycling, or a brisk morning run. The well-maintained path wanders through green woods, sandy beaches, Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, and all the way to Lover's Point. Along the way you are treated to spectacular vistas of the Monterey Bay, as a well as a close-up view of sea lions and playful otters.
